Candidate Development Associate - Candy Davies
Candy Davies handles candidate development for interfacio in the UK. With ten years’ experience in the international Pro Audio industry, she has managed teams of people both internally and externally, and understands how important it is to find the right person for the right job.
In 1995, Candy graduated from The University of the South Bank, London, with a degree in Business Studies and Marketing. She started her career in the leisure industry with Project Coin Machines, London, as Product Manager.
After relocating to the West Country, she made a change of industry, moving into the manufacturing sector as Marketing Co-ordinator with Origa. Her fluency in German prompted the company to move her to Stuttgart, Germany for two years, where she took over the marketing activities for its group of European companies. Travelling around Europe helped her develop a greater understanding of the complexities of different working practices and pan-European marketing.
After two years in Germany, Candy moved briefly to Australia, where she worked as Database Manager for an Origa subsidiary. After a few months of fun, she returned to UK to work for Harman International as Marketing Manager for Soundcraft. Reporting directly to the managing director, she was responsible for product launches ranging from Series FIVE and B800, to Folio and M Series. She recruited and managed a team of eight people from marketing and technical publications, overseeing and developing media, PR, exhibitions, website, distributor/dealer communications, direct mail, technical manuals, user guides, and product and corporate literature.
Candy’s experience in international branding at Origa helped her attain a promotion and an additional role reporting to the President of the Harman Pro Group as Group Marketing Co-ordinator. This involved working with some of the most respected brands in the Pro Audio market, working to achieve a consistent brand image across all media and exhibitions with international sister companies including JBL, Studer, DOD, AKG, AMEK, Turbosound, Spirit, Lexicon, Orban and Allen & Heath.
